Fuse rises to the challenge for a fourth year at Drumlanrig

Fuse has pedalled, paddled and pushed its way through the Buccleuch Property Challenge for a fourth year in a row.

Founder and director Jamie Mableson and operations director Elliot Leese were joined by Michael Downey of Parker Knights to form this year's three-person team.

Billed as the ultimate six-hour, non-stop team-building adventure race, the challenge brought nearly 100 teams from across the property industry to Drumlanrig Castle on the Queensberry Estate in Dumfries and Galloway.

Teams ran, mountain biked, orienteered, tubed and paddleboarded their way around a course that changes every year, collecting points at checkpoints while racing against the clock.

"It's one of the highlights of our year," says Jamie. "The course is tough, the hills never seem to end, and you have to think as well as run and ride. You only get round by working together.

This year's event raised money for Venture Scotland, a charity that supports young adults through outdoor activity and access to nature.

"It's a cause that fits the day perfectly," adds Jamie. "Everyone out there was doing exactly what Venture Scotland champions, getting outdoors and pushing themselves, so it was great to know that effort was going towards such brilliant work."

Elliot says: "This is my fourth Buccleuch Property Challenge and it never gets any easier. Every year there's something new to throw at you. It's a real test, but it's a fantastic day spent with people from across the property world."

"A huge thank you to Buccleuch Property and BlueSky Experiences for putting on another superbly organised event," adds Jamie. "We're already looking forward to next year."
