Akenside Studios on Newcastle's quayside had vacant offices to let and a prominent ground floor window. Fuse installed high resolution screens displaying the building's own office availability alongside paid campaigns, with an integrated footfall counter to measure the position. The screens caught the attention of a potential tenant within 24 hours of the screen going live, and a walk in viewing was carried out immediately.

Two St Cuthbert's Hospice shops in County Durham were losing card sales, and one of them could not be connected over the fixed network at all. Fuse specified 5G as the primary connection at both sites and had them installed and trading within 24 hours. The shops fund patient care, so restoring the till restored the income.

A cinema with no building

A contact free drive in cinema opened on an open site at Meridian Water in north London, where tickets were scanned through closed car windows and orders came from a phone. There was no building, no incoming line and nothing to plug into. Fuse assessed the site, specified four 4G routers with unlimited data and automatic carrier failover where an outage would have stopped trading, and supplied it all as a hire for the run.

A live streamed event to employees and management needed a connection that could not drop, delivered on mobile in a building where Fuse controlled none of the networks. Two multi network routers carried SIMs across three carriers, tested in position the day before. One network failed during the event, the routers switched automatically, and the broadcast never faltered.

Two buildings, one standard

Stockbridge House on Trinity Gardens sits in the same ownership as its neighbour and had assessed a rung lower under WiredScore. Fuse applied the same specification to both: a one gigabit fibre backbone with a diverse wireless route alongside it, tenant shares of 10 to 100Mbps available before occupation, and a managed guest network. The estate now offers the same proposition whichever building an occupier takes.

A multi-let office on Broad Chare in Newcastle held a WiredScore Gold rating and its owner wanted Platinum. Fuse put two leased lines into the building on separate routes, a one gigabit fibre backbone and a wireless link from a neighbouring rooftop, so a cable cut in the street cannot take the building off air. Tenants take shares of 10 to 100Mbps and can be connected before they move in.

An investor day at the closing Michelin tyre factory in Dundee needed a network for up to 300 delegates on a site with no usable fixed connectivity. Fuse deployed four dual SIM routers across two mobile carriers with automatic failover, six access points covering the site as one roaming network, and proved the whole thing on site a month beforehand. It carried 135 simultaneous connections and 32GB of data across the day.

A Souter Investments event at Stirling Castle, hosted by Sir Brian Souter, was built around a live interview with Sir Richard Branson joining from Morocco, inside walls built to withstand attack and just as effective against a radio signal. Fuse bonded three mobile connections into a single link, put an entirely separate backup router behind it, and installed the day before with an engineer on site throughout.
